Can Piferrer (pronounced Pi-fa-rré) is a rural tourism house located between Cassà de la Selva and Caldes de Malavella, near the city of Girona, in a splendid, peaceful natural setting.

Its location makes it an ideal base for touring the area: very close to Girona (13 km), the Costa Brava (16 km), Girona Airport (5 km), and little more than 5 minutes from the AP-7 motorway and the C-25 Transversal Axis road.

Can Piferrer is a typical Catalan farmhouse of the plain of the Selva district, built in 1740 and catalogued as a protected cultural heritage element thanks to the fact that its architecture has not been changed in over 260 years.

Can Piferrer was a focal point of activity for over 200 years, but it was abandoned around 50 years ago because it lacked the basic utilities of electricity and running water.

In the 1970s and 1980s it was used as an agricultural storehouse for the Can Dalmau estate, and for the last 25 years or so it was closed up. Recently it has been restored, conserving all of its differentiating elements of architectural value and without altering the special personality that makes it a unique farmhouse in these parts. It preserves its original character and structure to the full, with no modifications whatsoever.

The house stands in a marvellous location that combines farmland with woods of oak, holm oak and pine and streams and brooks lined with vegetation. The farmhouse itself is surrounded by a large green area with trees and fields of crops. It has exceptional views of the Montseny, the plain of La Selva and a good proportion of the Catalan Pyrenees and their foothills.
